urban sketchbook: a pop-up gallery

The newest YAH event, “Urban Sketchbook,” is hosted in the former storage space of a neighboring pizza joint and features the whimsical sketch work and lovely watercolors of Brooklyn artist Karyn Kloumann. Karyn’s unique style tells the story of the whimsical and the unexpected – everyday glimpses of New Yorkers in their urban environments.
We’ll be checking in later this week with Karyn to find out how she got hooked up with this program and feature her work, so stay tuned! In the meantime, you can visit her at the gallery from 2pm-6pm on Thursdays through Sundays until the end of September! Check out a few shots of the opening below!
