a tribute in light, in memoriam
Many photographers headed to the waterfront to capture the 88 searchlights visible from up to 60 miles away, while others discovered beautiful alternate perspectives, like Edwin Schrijvers’ photo at right. A flock of birds also congregated, heading towards the lights and shutting down the installation around 11pm for over an hour.
