\"capture brooklyn\" by august 29th!

In conjunction with this fall’s Dumbo Arts Festival, the New York Photo Festival is hosting a juried photo exhibition specifically designed to showcase Brooklyn’s finest! More details about how to enter and the winners’ prizes can be found on the contest website, but the exhibition portion sounds promising:

Drawn from submissions received online through August 29, 2010, 80 photographs will be selected and exhibited at The powerHouse Arena in Dumbo, Brooklyn. The show’s official opening will take place during this year’s Dumbo Arts Festival (September 24–26), an event that draws over 150,000 visitors over 3 days – and will remain open until October 15, 2010. In addition, all submissions received by August 29 will be showcased in a slideshow presentation at the powerHouse Arena during the show’s opening weekend.

There is a submission fee of $25 for three images ($50 for up to six), but the prize pool is definitely alluring. There’s only a week and a half left to enter, so hop to it! If you are indeed submitting, let us know in the comments or via Twitter – we’d love to see your submissions!
