the moonlight over manhattan

Even though it’s technically not Brooklyn (or Manhattan, for that matter!), in my mind there’s no better place to be in the summertime than on a boat at sunset, preferably with a cool breeze and a magical view. I recently found myself setting sail for a birthday cruise to see the beautiful Kathleen Edwards perform; and while she was spectacular, the city skyline really stole the show. Everyone was truly in awe of the beautiful scenery.

I even ran into fellow Brooklyn blogger Eliot from Now I’ve Heard Everything, who published a nice write-up and photos from the show! He reports that even the band members were whipping out their iPhones to take photographs from the cruise.

And no one could’ve blamed them, even for a moment…
