Too often, as a photographer, I feel driven to capture the news-breaking, the attention-grabbing, and the extreme as I journey through the borough. This impulse sometimes allows me to forget the beauty in the mundane, to ignore the simplicity and loveliness of everyday life. One recent weekend, though, I made it a point to remember and reflect.

I’ve commented on some of these in your flickr stream but I’ll say it here: this is a fantastics set. Very timeless, they look like they could have been taken at any point during the last 60 years. The second one is still my favorite!
