As the Friday light faded this weekend, I started getting excited for the DUMBO Art Under the Bridge festival, in its 13th year in Brooklyn. I work in the neighborhood and the tension in the air always gets noticeably more excited in the ‘hood when it’s time for the annual festival.
One of our photographers (and my co-worker, too) was showing in an studio there, and I couldn’t wait to check it out. But before we headed out, we threw open one of the warehouse windows at our office, got a strong breeze of the cool September air, and snapped some shots of the fading light.
It turned out the galleries were lovely and we met some very cool people, all photographing Brooklyn. Can’t wait to rope them in…

Hey CMV — Thanks! I checked out your shots — very, very cool. The human knitted people are AMAZING! So much creativity in that neighborhood, and all the artists in Brooklyn. They’re always inspirational, especially since I work in the area.
Thanks so much for joining the Flickr group — I look forward to checking out your stuff!
Best,
Jill
