Hi, I’m Jill!

…and I love photography. I’m a cloud consultant by day and passionate analog photographer by night. Between photo shoots, blog posts and endless bouts with the film scanner, I’m attempting to renovate a limestone (and garden!) in Crown Heights and tackle DIY projects.

And sometimes, I even write blog posts. Sometimes.

So what is For the Love of Brooklyn?

Through For the Love of Brooklyn, I attempt to curate the work of a growing community of awesome local photographers and share all the inspiration and hope they give me. Lots of photographers featured here have published work in the New York Times, the NYT Local blog, CNN, New York Post, the Brooklyn Paper, the Brooklyn Historical Society, Gothamist, Brownstoner, The Awl, and dozens of wonderful sites in Brooklyn and around the world. Even National Geographic! Plus — did I mention they also happen to be some of the kindest, humblest, funniest and most down-to-earth PEOPLE I’ve ever met?

Interested in Participating?

FTLOB constantly prowls local blogs and our growing Flickr community to feature new local talent. If you would like to participate or contribute, please contact me via Twitter, Facebook, or right here on the blog!

We also schedule regular photowalks and meet-ups, so you should totally join us sometime. We have fun. Be friends with us on Facebook to get signed up for notifications about when we’re hosting our events. We’d love to see you there!

Link With Love!

LINKwithloveFTLOB is a proud member of Link With Love and believes strongly in their mission of achieving greater love and respect for all intellectual property. Here’s how it works.

We strive to share the talent of new and emerging photographers and repay all the inspiration they’ve given us as much as possible, so please do not repost images without asking first, or providing proper and full credit. Share the love!

Please feel free to contact us with any questions or to ask how you can get involved!
