Tonight, I’m taking a break from the crazy travel-and-work schedule to head to Terminal 5 and see the Smashing Pumpkins, which just so happens to be my favorite band of all time (and the reason I started blogging years and years ago). It’s been a long time since I had the opportunity to see one of their live shows and take photographs – and I can’t wait for the face-melting guitar solos.
If you’re headed to the show, send me a tweet @loveofbrooklyn or @hipstersunited – would love to see you there!

some of the best live show photos i’ve ever seen – great colors & depth. care to share your rig info & what postprocessing you do?
Tina — thanks so much! These photos were shot awhile back with a basic DSLR – Nikon D40 and a 55-200mm VR lens. Not really any post-processing besides a little contrast bump in Lightroom. The Pumpkins have such great light shows that the pictures almost took themselves, promise. :)
These days, I usually shoot concerts in analog if given the choice — I’m a big fan of rangefinders (old Leica iiiF) at concerts because focusing is easier!
These are awesome Jill. Did you take the Leica with you the other night? Can’t wait to see the photos
